ܐܢܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܪܝ ܐܬܚܝܠ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܬ ܡܢܝ ܒܝܕ ܣܗܕܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܢܝܢ ܐܓܥܠ ܠܐܢܫܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܛܝܐ ܒܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܠܡܠܦܘ
lmlpw l'khrn' 'p b'ydyhwn dmTy' 'ylyn mhymn' l'nsh' 'gel hnyn sgy'' shd' byd mny dshmeth w'ylyn
The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

ܘܣܝܒܪ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܦܠܚܐ ܛܒܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' dyshwe Tb' plkh' 'yk byshth' wsybr
You therefore must endure hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܦܠܚ ܘܡܬܦܟܪ ܒܨܒܘܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܢܫܦܪ ܠܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܓܒܝܗܝ
dgbyhy mn lhw dnshpr delm' btsbwth' wmthpkr plkh 'nsh l'
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

ܘܐܢ ܡܬܟܬܫ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܡܬܟܠܠ ܐܢ ܒܢܡܘܣܗ ܠܐ ܡܬܟܬܫ
mthkthsh l' bnmwsh 'n mthkll l' 'nsh mthkthsh w'n
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.

ܠܐܟܪܐ ܕܠܐܐ ܘܠܐ ܠܗ ܕܩܕܡܐ ܡܢ ܦܐܪܘܗܝ ܢܣܬܝܒܪ

The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.

ܐܣܬܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܢܬܠ ܠܟ ܡܪܢ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܒܟܠ ܡܕܡ

Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

ܐܬܕܟܪ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܙܪܥܐ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܐܝܟ ܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܝܠܝ
dyly 'wnglywn 'yk ddwyd zre' mn d'ythwhy hw myth' byth mn dqm mshykh' lyshwe 'thdkr
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,

ܕܒܗ ܣܒܠ ܐܢܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܣܘܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܐܣܝܪܐ
'syr' l' d'lh' mlthh 'l' byshth' ebd 'yk l'swr' edm' byshth' 'n' sbl dbh
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܡܣܝܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܚܝܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܥܡ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
dlelm shwbkh' em mshykh' dbyshwe khy' nshkkhwn hnwn d'p gby' mTl 'n' msybr klmdm hn' mTl
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܡܠܬܐ ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܝܬܢ ܥܡܗ ܐܦ ܥܡܗ ܢܚܐ
nkh' emh 'p emh mythn gyr 'n mlth' hy mhymn'
This saying is trustworthy:
“For if we died with him,
we will also live with him.

ܘܐܢ ܢܣܝܒܪ ܐܦ ܢܡܠܟ ܥܡܗ ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܢܟܦܘܪ ܒܗ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܢܟܦܘܪ ܒܢ

If we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we deny him,
he also will deny us.

ܘܐܢ ܠܐ ܢܗܝܡܢ ܒܗ ܗܘ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܗ ܡܩܘܐ ܕܢܟܦܘܪ ܓܝܪ ܒܢܦܫܗ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ
mshkkh l' bnpshh gyr dnkpwr mqw' bhymnwthh hw bh nhymn l' w'n
If we are faithless,
he remains faithful.
For he can’t deny himself.”

ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܥܗܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܡܣܗܕ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܬܚܪܝܢ ܒܡܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܝܘܬܪܢ ܠܣܘܚܦܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ
lhyn dshmeyn d'ylyn lswkhp' ywthrn dl' bml' mthkhryn nhwwn dl' mrn qdm wmshd lhwn mehd hwyth hlyn
Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they don’t argue about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.

ܘܢܬܒܛܠ ܠܟ ܕܬܩܝܡ ܢܦܫܟ ܓܡܝܪܐܝܬ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܦܠܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܗܬܬܐ ܕܡܟܪܙ ܬܪܝܨܐܝܬ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ
dshrr' mlth' thryts'yth dmkrz bhthth' dl' plkh' 'lh' qdm gmyr'yth npshk dthqym lk wnthbTl
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.

ܘܡܢ ܡܠܐ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܒܗܝܢ ܚܫܚܘ ܐܫܬܐܠ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܢܘܣܦܘܢ ܥܠ ܪܘܫܥܗܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܥܢܝܢ ܒܗܝܢ
bhyn denyn hnwn rwshehwn el nwspwn gyr ythyr'yth 'shth'l khshkhw bhyn dlyth sryqth' ml' wmn
But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,

ܘܡܠܬܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܠܕܝܬܐ ܢܘܡܐ ܬܐܚܘܕ ܒܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܗܘܡܢܐܘܣ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܦܝܠܛܘܣ

and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

ܗܠܝܢ ܕܛܥܘ ܡܢ ܫܪܪܐ ܟܕ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܝܬܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗ ܘܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܗܦܟܝܢ
mhpkyn 'nsh d'nsh whymnwth' lh hwth dmyth' dqymth' 'mryn kd shrr' mn dTew hlyn
men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.

ܫܬܐܣܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܫܪܝܪܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܝܡܐ ܗܝ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܚܬܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܝܕܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܝܠܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܦܪܘܩ ܡܢ ܥܘܠܐ ܟܠ ܕܩܪܐ ܠܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' lshmh dqr' kl ewl' mn wnprwq 'nwn ddylh l'ylyn mry' wyde hn' khthm' lh w'yth hy qym' d'lh' shryrth' dyn shth'sth'
However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”

ܒܒܝܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܪܒܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܐܢܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܘ ܕܣܐܡܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܕܩܝܣܐ ܐܦ ܕܦܚܪܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܠܐܝܩܪܐ ܘܡܢܗܘܢ ܠܨܥܪܐ
ltser' wmnhwn l'yqr' mnhwn dpkhr' 'p dqys' 'p 'l' bh 'yth ds'm' 'w blkhwd ddhb' m'n' hw' l' rb' dyn bbyth'
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.

ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܕܟܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܡܐܢܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܠܐܝܩܪܐ ܕܥܗܢ ܠܚܘܫܚܐ ܕܡܪܗ ܘܡܛܝܒ ܠܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ

If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.

ܡܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܕܛܠܝܘܬܐ ܥܪܘܩ ܘܗܪܛ ܒܬܪ ܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܘܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܚܘܒܐ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܥܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܩܪܝܢ ܠܡܪܢ ܒܠܒܐ ܕܟܝܐ
dky' blb' lmrn dqryn 'ylyn em wshlm' wkhwb' whymnwth' k'nwth' bthr whrT erwq dTlywth' rgygth' klhyn mn
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

ܚܪܝܢܐ ܣܟܠܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܠܐ ܡܪܕܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܫܬܐܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܓܝܪ ܕܬܟܬܘܫܐ ܡܘܠܕܝܢ
mwldyn dthkthwsh' gyr 'nth yde mnhwn 'shth'l 'nwn mrdw ddl' 'ylyn skl' khryn'
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.

ܥܒܕܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܪܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܒ ܠܡܬܟܬܫܘ ܐܠܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܡܟܝܟ ܠܘܬ ܟܠܢܫ ܘܡܠܦܢ ܘܢܓܝܪܐ ܪܘܚܗ
rwkhh wngyr' wmlpn klnsh lwth mkyk dnhw' 'l' lmthkthshw khyb l' dmrn dyn ebdh
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,

ܕܢܗܘܐ ܪܕܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܚܪܝܢ ܠܩܘܒܠܗ ܒܡܟܝܟܘܬܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܢܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܫܪܪܐ
shrr' wndewn thybwth' 'lh' lhwn nthl dlm' bmkykwth' lqwblh dmthkhryn l'ylyn rd' dnhw'
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
